please let me know that it`s real

Have you ever seen You are the One with Toni Gonzaga and Sam Milby? If yes, then you`ll know that their dance scene is like the BEST THING EVER! Its my favourite part of the movie. And Milby`s voice is just so hot...that`s why I fell in love with him all those years ago. Anyway, I just happened to have the craving to listen to that song today. I know its an old song but these words just really stood out to me:

pardon the way that i stare. there`s nothing else to compare. the sight of you makes me weak; there are no words left to speak. but if you feel what i feel, please let me know that it`s real. you`re just too good to be true, can`t take my eyes off of you.

don`t ask why. it just did (:
and yes, there`s a reason

Jared and I both got haircuts recently and we got them both super Asian....thus:

Oh and in Primary, Ezra stayed with us because Tita Imee was babysitting her. She it the prettiest little baby I have ever seen. She`s not just cute, but you can see that she has REALLY pretty features. Half-asian babies are SO ADORABLE. My babies are going to be half-asian, oh  yes they will.

Happy Birthday Elder Anderson!

Saturday, January 29, 2011

Today was an extremely, super busy day!

I had to be at the church for 10am to be part of a seminary graduate discussion board. It was kinda like a workshop for all the seminary and institute teachers in the region and they decided that what kind of feedback would be better than hearing it from seminary graduates themselves? I got there super nervous to be having to put my ideas in front of adults, but it wasn`t too bad. I talked a lot about how much i knew my seminary teacher, Sis Michele Hynynen, loved me and the rest of the students, which made me really try hard in seminary. It also helped the fact that I was striving to gain my own testimony. And seminary was definitely a huge help in gaining my own. I felt pretty good after it, and some of the leaders came up to us afterwards. One man said,

You know, my generation was never like this. Your generation is really different. The church is in good hands if you guys are the future leaders of the church.

I mean, it wasn`t that big of a deal, but it felt good to hear. I had to scoot out of there right away because I needed to start preparing for Elder Anderson`s birthday dinner. Before I left, Amy Fuller came with me to photocopy the program for Sunday. She told me how she wanted to serve a mission and I am SUPER HAPPY for her. She is going to be an amazing missionary. I really look up to her and her strength and I know she will do amazing things. Also, Amy happened to be talking to Bro. McMullen about her concern on modesty with the youth (she happened to see a whole lot of immodesty at the youth dance the night before). I thought this would be a great opportunity for me to advertise our video. Lucky for Sara and I, one of the leaders gave me his email address for us to send him the video once it is finished! YAY!

ANYWAY, so for Elder Anderson`s birthday.

The Menu:
Tex Mex Baked Potatoes &
Perfect Chocolate Cake

This was the first time I would be making those two, so I was super excited and scared all at the same time. I started off this the cake and it took a REALLY long time to make. There were just a whole lot of details. But I think it was all worth it because it turned out REALLY good in the end. My mom had to help me with the potatoes because I was running out of time, so she helped chopped the vegetables (since i`m so handicapped and slow when it comes to that).

Elder Anderson arrived with Elder Sjoblom. They had to stand outside the door for a while because my dad wasn`t back yet from picking Laura up from Priest Laurel Conference in Brampton. But it`s ok, I stood there with them and tried to entertain them.

So dinner was served first, with both hot and mild choices of meat mix for the potatoes. I thought it was great! I loved the smell of chili powder mm mm mmmm! Elder Dewey showed up a little while after with Elder Lusk. They were right on time for us singing happy birthday, and that`s when we presented the cake to Elder Anderson. He`s so cute, i love the way he got excited and clapped his hands while we sang.

And after the cake Elder Anderson was just like: SO WHERE`S MY PRESENT?! Haha impatient much?

So, of course, he got his Flipside care first!

And then he got his super-fantabulous gift from me: nun-chucks!

You might be asking why. This is why:

My dad was pretty impressed with the little drawing i made on the back. I was pretty impressed too. Haha, but yea, tis an inside joke. Not funny at all, or at least in my case -.-`

And of course, the birthday boy`s gotta take his picture with the Limas girls!
Ok, just a little explanation, he was putting his mouth towards my cake, so I pushed it onto his nose (: Haha this is why he`s one of my best friends.

Then he wanted to get pictures with Elder Dewey and Bobby...
Bahahahaha this picture makes me laugh SO HARD.
Look at the bromance!
They all just have so much love for each other.
Hahaha awww and their faces!

AND YEA! That`s pretty much how my day went. Way good and full of smiles :)

Trouble with video editing :(

Friday, January 28, 2011

Sara and I decided to skip Institute and YSA tonight to work on our Mormon Messages video.
(No worries, we both attended Institute at York on Wednesday so we didn`t miss the lesson.)

But turned out to be a big, fat fail. We started out ok, but then we couldn`t get the music to play with the pictures. It was all so frustrating. It was only 9:00pm and we were already grumpy (9:00pm would still be considered early cuz that`s only half-way through the Institute lesson). Anywho, Sara knew it would be hard for us to continue without her dad`s help. So we gave up.

BUT we really did still want to submit it. I emailed the people in charge of the contest and told them that we have a video that isn`t finished, but we would still really like to submit it in even if it`s not for the contest. They replied back saying that in a few weeks they`ll accept any videos that weren`t entered into the contest. So now we just gotta find the time to make it....

AND, one of our fellow LDS people in the region happened to make one too, a REALLY good one. She wasn`t able to submit it in either, but here`s her video anyway. By JAYDEN CARTWRIGHT.

TTC needs more bus drivers like him

Thursday, January 27, 2011

On Wendesday, I'm at school pretty much the whole day, leaving York at 6:30pm. I hate leaving school late. By the time I get to the bus stop, there's a hugeeeee line up and the bus is taking forever. The bus finally comes and we obviously don't all fit. Another bus passes by and I still don't get on. Now, I'm pretty tired and not in the most happiest mood. I finally get on the bus and the bus driver greeted every single person who walked in with the HAPPIEST smile on his face and in the CHEERIEST voice you've ever heard. I sit down feeling a bit better. When the bus starts to leave campus, the bus driver starts talking through the intercom and starts pulling out jokes and making us sing and just having a good time with us. There was one dude up at the front he was mostly talking to, but he still spoke through the intercom so we could hear the conversation. I was laughing the whole way to Downsview. When I got off the bus he gave me a hi5 and I thanked him for the enjoyable ride home. We definitely need more bus drivers like that!

Next step in photography, here i come!

Wednesday, January 26, 2011

So it took me a while to get the photos up, but I was able to edit and post them all by Tuesday (the 25th). And let me tell you, I got so many comments from people about the photography! I AM SO HAPPY!!!! I had many people telling me how impressed they were with the photographs and were also asking when the next photoshoot is cuz they want their photos taken as well. You do not even know how much that means to me.

Unfortunately, the camera I used was my Tito Jarom`s Nikon D90 and he`s always very cautious about lending me his baby. So I had to tell everyone that I`d but them on the list for photoshoots and we`ll do it once I get my new SLR (I want the Canon Rebel 2Ti). So what do I do now? I SAVE UP. That`s right....

So I`m not working right now but I did just get my last OSAP installment, so I`ve divided it evenly and put some for my savings for my SLR.

My Goal: Have the SLR before Laura`s Debut.

I want to be able to take photos of Laura and her cotillion before her party so I could put them in her slideshow (I needed to think of something different than what she did for my party). So, if I get it a few weeks before her party (let`s say mid-July), then I`ll have enough time to experiment and adjust to it. And for sure I want to be taking the photos at Laura`s party. I ain`t trusting anyone to get proper photos of my sister`s party.  But I definitely want to take it for memory purposes (cuz Laura trusts my photography skills), and it`ll be good practice for me (it is like a wedding, isn`t it?!)

Haha ok so this morning Laura and I did our interviews for the Mormon Message video. I'm so disappointed in myself. I knew what I was going to say, but because the camera was there I got all nervous and everything came out so disorganized. BLAH ME.

And I looked SAD. I think it's cause I just woke up and I look tired.

Oh yeah. So I knew we were going to do these interviews before Laura went to school. So I get up, read my scriptures, then take a shower so I could be ready before Laura gets home. I'm in the shower and Laura barges in telling me the missionaries are here to talk to me. I'm like WHAT?! o.O So I tried to finish up quick. But was just Jezreel. FAIL. Thanks a lot guys.
