I need to rant.

I am on my death-bed right now...
AND IT'S TIME FOR YW CAMP.

What the freak is this?!
How am I missing YW Camp for the first time in 6 years?!

And I'm supposed to be a leader too!!!!!!!
I bought my group little gifts and everything
*CRIES*

I HATE being sick :'(

I'm down with the dumb flu so I'm on sofa and I it's hard for me to move.
I am so extremely sad right now.

How am I missing the opportunity to be the first group to camp at the new
Thomas S. Monson Camp?!?!

OH MY GOODNESS >.<

....The only good that came from this:
I worked on Laura's debut slideshow.
And it's pretty much done :o

Laura's Grad!

Wednesday, June 29, 2011

Today was the first day of YW Camp, but Laura and I got permission to come the next day because:
LAURA'S GRADUATING FROM GARNEAUUUU!!! WOOT!

Let me tell you know, they have upgraded the way Garneau graduates.
It's all thanks to the new principal.
They got the gowns and the formal hall.

Getting her diploma!

Say what?

They already warned Garneau not to throw their hats in the air while they're in the hall
because last year one of the hats got stuck and broke the chandelier.
OF COURSE Garneau still would.
No wonder our school has such a bad rep. LOL.

LEGIT!

Besties.

LOOOOOL. This is such a typical Limas girl shot.
Laura would be staring down at the food like that waiting to do eat it.
I would be looking serious while texting.
Arielle would be poking herself in between us.

Good-bye President & Sister Eyre!

Sunday, June 12, 2011

Today was the last Mission President Fireside with President and Sister Eyre. Wow, I cannot believe it has been three years already! That also means three years since the Callisters have left. Time flies.

We weren't sure if the new president would be holding firesides or not, so Laura and I made sure that we took pictures with all our missionaries. Plus the East and West missions were going to be combined so our missionaries might get transferred really far.....

Hermana Crosby!!!
I absolutely LOVE this missionary!
She's so awesome and she always knows how to make me laugh :)

Elder Wraaaaay!
He was a greenie in our ward :)

Elder Arcilla!!
This guy is like our brother!! He is the bomb. I love making fun of him:

Elder Arcilla: Ahhh no, i don't like pictures!

Me: Pfff whatever! You're always checking your reflection in the car window!
Elder Arcilla: SHUT UP!
Me: tsk tsk...that's not Elder-like.

Yeeeus by brodaaaaah

With Sis. Eyre!

Laura's music teacher: Elder Hall!!!
This guy is tooooo funny. We share stories.

We be cool.

DEWEY!!!

Eldaaaaaah! Elder Wheeler taught us ASL.
Oh how I miss those classes!

TWINS!

Kinikini!!! Haha, yes his name makes me laugh.

With President Eyre!

Daddy-O and President

My testimony about these missionaries: they're heroes. They really are. They sacrifice 18 months to 3 years to serve the Lord and spread the Gospel. I have come to learn of how much love they have for the gospel and the love they have for the people they preach it to. It amazes me so much. That's why I want to serve because  I want to be like them.

Models for Modesty!

Friday, June 10, 2011

I started today with visiting my high school to take pictures of Laura and her friends for her Debut Slideshow. I just love visiting my high school and all my teachers! I didn't get to see Ms. Bhowmik, but I got to talk to Mr. Hillman, my softball coach who is super awesome because he's always interested in our lives and finds the fact that we're Mormon especially interesting; Mr. Fradelos, my grade 9 geography teacher, who was outside with his students for gym, so we threw the football at each other; and Mr. Winn, my grade 10 art teacher and grade 11 photography teacher, who helped me check out some photography programs for after I graduate! WOOT!

Anyway, Laura's friends are crazy but I love them anyway because they are the bomb!!

And guess what else I did today? Hm hm hm?! If you remember (which you probably won't because I doubt many people even read my blog), the stake young men's president, Rod Dyquiangco, has asked me and my sister to model for their modest online store clothesline. To read about that, click here.

Anywho, today was the day that we would do the modelling! WOOOOOOT! And he asked us to ask Holly if she'd like to come as well, so pretty much: Deeks&Limas times!

Sis. Dyquiangco took the 3 of us into the dress room and gave each of us a dress. Oh my, we were so stinkin' excited! Basically they had people model for the dresses already but they needed someone to model the other set of colour, which was still amazing anyway!!

Our payment: dinner, one dress free, and any other dress we want for 50% off.
CAN YOU SAY LUCKY?!?!?!?!?!?!

Aaaaaaand
since they needed these model shots for their sight, my photography was basically being published online.
WOOT WOOT. My goodness, can you imagine how great an opportunity I thought this was?!

Laura modeled the black version of Chloe:

Holly modeled the green version of Juliet:

And I modeled Grace:

After the photos we got to change and try on the dresses we wanted to take home.
I really wanted to take the dress I modeled, but cargo dresses aren't always my thing.
But I did take the dress Laura modeled AND bought this one:

And Laura took this one:

Then we ate dinner. SOOOOO GOOD. My daddy-o was downstairs playing with the Dyquiangco kids. They are so stinkin' adorable! But it took a while for us to get Jared to like us. He definitely loved my dad ahahaha soooo cute!

And then dad drove us to the Stake Centre after so we could get to YSA.
But Laura and I were so pooped by the end of the night that we didn't even stay long -.-

But right now I would just like to bear my testimony on modesty. I'm really grateful that the Dyquiangco's gave us this opportunity to promote modest dressing. The point of their website is to provide affordable, modest dresses for LDS girls and any other girls who find it hard to shop for a decent dress now-a-days. They say on their site that their mission is "to provide solutions to those who are searching for up to date designer trends in women’s fashion, while maintaining high degree of standards in modesty and in virtue to bring out the best in herself and those around her."  It's so important to dress modestly. There is so much pressure in the world today to dress like everyone else. I won't lie about being a victim of that. I go into stores and sometimes I wish I could just wear some of things that are just a "little short" or just showing a "little skin". The temptation is there. But I know the principle of modesty is something that was commanded to us to help protect us from the dangers of the world and a way to represent Christ. you think you can represent Christ is you're dressed inappropriately or act innapropriately? NO. I know what kind of attention I want to be attracting and I know what I want to be worthy of. Therefore, I WILL stay and be modest.
